SHESHA - Handmade silver Ouroboros Ring with a black diamond eye

I have a deep fascination and respect for the Ouroboros- an infinity symbol of the serpent that bites or swallows its own tail, which has been found in almost every ancient culture and in every part of the world.
Its symbolism resonates so strongly throughout time and space..only to arrive here and now, as a gentle nudge to reconsider how we view each moment that passes.

I carved this snake ring in jewellers wax by hand and she was then cast in .925 sterling silver, only one of these ouroboros' rings exists.
After the casting, I finished the ring in my very small studio with my fairly large hands.

Like most of my "Animal Kingdom" pieces, Shesha is a one- off piece and entirely handmade with love in my Utrecht studio.

- The snake has a black, natural diamond eye
- The face of the heart is approximately 16 mm wide and 14 mm tall
- The band has a chunky feel and weight to it, with an uneven width between 9.5 and 5 mm
